Roman Forum, Rome, Italy
A piece of the Digital Land at the Roman Forum, in the heart of the ancient city. Once, splendid palaces of emperors and temples of ancient gods towered here adorned with frescoes and snow-white columns. All important events took place at the Forum: here the Senate convened, court cases were heard and executions were performed; on the main square people honored conquerors and organized loud rejoicings. This is the place where fates of the entire Roman Empire were determined.
Today it is the most famous archeological park in the world. A small plot of 500 sq. m. became embodiment of the history, culture and architecture of that era. Over a hundred years of excavations gave a lot of amazing discoveries to the world. These ruins literally wait for their territory to be reconstructed in augmented reality, so that people, at last, could see with their own eyes all the vibrant splendor of the ancient Rome.Additional information
